I turn to Ethan after reading this. "Ethan, did you kick Danielle yesterday?"
"Yes," he replies.
"Why?"
"She kicked Maddie. Maddie was crying. I had to save her."
Of course I had to give the spiel about using your words instead of kicking or hitting, but inside I was proud of my little hero.
